PP Maps for iPhone, Android and Apple Watch · Geekee Limited, United Kingdom · Last updated 12 October 2026
Who we are
PP Maps is run by Geekee Limited (UK), which is responsible for the personal data described here. PP Maps shows a live map of Pokémon GO information for members of the PP Maps community, and sends the alerts they set up.
We don't show adverts, we don't track you across other apps or websites, and we never sell your data.
What we collect, and why
- Your Discord account: your Discord ID, username, display name and avatar, received when you sign in with Discord. We use them to sign you in and to check which PP Maps role you have, which decides what the map shows you.
- Location: your device uses your location to show where you are on the map, how far things are, the walking directions and the hundo radar. Your exact location is only sent to our server for alerts you set to follow you ("around me"), and to keep your home-screen widgets and watch up to date. To fill the map, the app asks our server for the area on screen, not where you are.
- Alerts and settings: the alerts you create, the places they cover, your quiet hours, notification choices, map filters, favourite gyms and stops, and other map settings, so they work on every device you sign in on. The alerts you've received are kept for 7 days so you can look back at them.
- Notifications: a notification token for each device, from Apple (iPhone) or Google Firebase (Android), so we can send your alerts.
- "I'm going": if you mark that you're going to a raid, your Discord display name is shown to other members until the raid ends.
Who else is involved
- Discord, for signing in.
- Apple Push Notification service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, which deliver notifications.
- Apple Maps (iPhone), and CARTO map tiles and the FOSSGIS walking router, based on OpenStreetMap (Android). When you ask for walking directions, the start and end points go to that service.
- Pokémon and item icons are loaded from public icon collections on GitHub.
Our own servers are in the United Kingdom. We don't share your data with anyone else, other than where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Your account, alerts and settings are kept while you use PP Maps. Received alerts are deleted after 7 days, and "I'm going" marks when the raid ends. Notification tokens are removed as soon as Apple or Google tell us they're no longer valid. Signing out removes your sign-in from the device and ends your session on our server.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, including your alerts, settings and account. Contact us and we'll do it promptly. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
PP Maps is for members of our Discord community and isn't aimed at children under 13.
